What’s new with the Crown Land Use Policy Atlas?

In December 2010 some enhancements were made to the Crown Land Use Policy Atlas to improve access to land use amendment information.

These enhancements will flag where in the Province there are land use amendments in progress and will also allow land use amendment information to be searched.  The enhancements will allow the public and Aboriginal communities to engage in Crown land use planning in a more meaningful way. 

Specifically, these enhancements are comprised of:

1. An Amendment Search Tool. A new search tool has been created that allows the user to search for amendment information in various ways.  The results of an amendment search shows basic information about the amendment and provides a link to details about the amendment.

2. Amendments in Progress  

• A new layer has been added to the map browser to flag land use areas that are subject to a minor or major land use amendment(s) that are “proposed.”
• When searching for policy reports, it is now possible to see which policy reports are subject to a minor or major land use amendment(s) that is “proposed.”
